Could i need to change from D2 to D10 while working in a new institute
I am D2-4 graduate student in University A. The visa for D2-4 is still valid till end of 2026. However, i plan to transfer to University B in 2026-spring as graduate student D2-4. From now to 2026-spring, i am hired as intern in University B. Could i apply to get a D10-1 intern in this case? Cause now i changed my institute. Many thanks.

From D-2 to D-4
Currently, I have a D-2 visa since I'm studying a Master's degree; however, I'd like to study Korean for 6 months. Is it advisable to downgrade my visa (to D4) and then switch to D10 (seeking job)?

What visa options allow a Mexican chef to work or open a restaurant in South Korea?
I’m a Mexican national who’s been running a popular taco stand for the past 2½ years, and now I’m aiming to take my culinary career to South Korea. Korea’s vibrant food scene and the rise of globally recognized chefs there inspire me to gain professional kitchen experience and eventually launch my own concept. Could anyone outline the main visa categories that cover culinary work or restaurant entrepreneurship (e.g., E‑7‑3, D‑8, or any newcomer programs)? I’m especially curious about typical eligibility requirements—formal culinary education, minimum years of experience, investment capital, Korean‑language level, etc. Also, are industry sponsorships or government‑backed incubation schemes realistic paths for a small‑business owner like me? Any insights on processing times, common pitfalls, or success stories from foreign chefs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How Proficient in Korean Do I Need to Be to Work as a Developer in Korea?
Hey everyone, I’m a software dev in France thinking about moving to Korea—how important is Korean proficiency for day‑to‑day work? Do most companies run everything in Korean, or is English widely used in meetings, docs, and stand‑ups? Are internal docs usually Korean‑only, or do teams often provide bilingual resources? When hiring, do companies ask for a TOPIK score or conduct part of the interview in Korean?
